ANNA WOOD

Holistic Psychotherapist/Yogi

Cofounder of The Breath Collective, Anna and Chris integrate their knowledge of the mind and the body to deliver expansive events that support self exploration, conscious connection and mind mastery.  Anna is a holistic psychotherapist specialising in childhood trauma. Her framework involves an integrative type of therapy that incorporates both traditional and non-traditional treatments to help the individual as a whole. She is also a qualified Yoga Teacher & Breathwork Facilitator.

Anna is an experienced and registered practitioner with a strong commitment to supporting the growth of the people she works with. With over 10 years’ clinical experience, Anna has been privileged to work alongside children and adults with a multitude of presentations including, mental health, trauma, attachment difficulties, grief and loss, addiction, and disabilities. Anna believes there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to working with people. This is why her methods include frameworks of attachment theory, positive psychology, neuroscience, somatic (or body-based) psychotherapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioural theories. 

Anna has a love for learning and is dedicated to her own healing journey, through this she is always seeking out new experiences and ways to deepen her knowledge of self. She is passionate about creating conscious community and sharing her knowledge of Eastern and Western practices. Oh and did we forget to mention, she’s kind of an adrenaline junkie!

CHRISTOPHER MARINKO

Bodywork & Health Specialist/Funny Guy

Cofounder of The Breath Collective. Since 2014, Christopher has been in pursuit of knowledge to better understand the human body, he has completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage, Advanced Certificate in Neuro-Muscular Dry Needling, courses in Health and Nutrition coaching, Breathwork facilitator training, inferno Pilates teacher training, and in more recent years, has been learning to approach the body and healing in terms of emotional awareness and energy.

Christopher believes that every moment is precious and is always looking to deepen their understanding of life. Christopher believes that to question, to inquire, to seek understanding is a core part of what it means to be human. Whether it’s at home or away on a retreat, he is always seeking to bring humour, joy and play into his experience. He is an indispensable member of our family, and Re:treat Yourself wouldn’t be the same without him.

JOSEPHINE BURTON

Wellness Entrepreneur/Super Mum

A lover of all things mind and movement, CEO/Director of JLCoaching and Holistic Health Noosa and Mum to an almost 6yr old.

 

Josie was a competitive athlete growing up and spent her teenage years as a high level gymnast before transitioning into dance. After graduating from the Queensland Dance School of Excellence and Queensland Ballet, Josie accepted a scholarship to continue her studies in Melbourne and then Sydney where she further developed her love for mind-body connection through dance, yoga, pilates and body building techniques.

Josie worked with various companies in Australia before travelling overseas and finally residing in Mexico for a number of years performing, choreographing and coaching where she learnt to speak fluent Spanish.

 

Josie spent over 10yrs teaching dance and coaching gymnastics before making the transition into the fitness and health industry in 2017. Josie is a qualified fitness and wellness coach who is passionate about holistic health. Her specialities are Mind body, Nutrition & Lifestyle, Body Composition, Mobility and Body Conditioning, Acrobatics/Calisthenics. She believes that optimum health can not be achieved if all facets aren’t aligned.

Josie believes in the endless pursuit of knowledge and is always seeking to further develop her self and consciousness.

ANDREW TOLLEY

Chef Extraordinaire

Andrew has worked in and managed kitchens in and around Brisbane for almost 20 years. He was co/owner and head chef at Statler and Waldorf Gastronomy where he worked with local farmers and artisan producers to create exciting seasonal menus. Canopy Eats allows him to combine his love for great unpretentious food and helping people feel good in their bodies. His passion for nutritious cooking and holistic mental health recovery assisted Andrew in a career change to mental health support work. He has worked as a Nutritional chef for The Banyans Health & Wellness Luxury Rehabilitation Clinic and now working in community services as an experienced group facilitator of mental health recovery focused groups in Mt Gravatt while he is studying a Bachelor of Social work. Andrew is a pilates teacher at Ahimsa Yoga in Darra, has been a yogi for over 10 years, loves being outdoors especially while surfing or mountain biking and is a cold therapy and breathwork convert.
